New Delhi  April 24 India registered 2,593  new covid-19 cases, taking the total tally of cases to 4,30,57 545 in the country, as per the Health Ministry data on Sunday.
As many as 44 fresh fatalities were also recorded, taking the total death count in the country, to 5,22,193
The active cases currently stand at 15,873 which now comprises 0.04 per cent of the total infections, while the national Covid-19 recovery rate has decreased to 98.75 per cent.
Meanwhile, 1,755 recoveries were reported, increasing the total to 4,25,19,479.
According to the Ministry’s bulletin 83.47 Crore tests for Covid-19 have been done so far, with a total of 4,36532 tests have been conducted in the last 24 hours.
“India has administered 187.67 cr doses of Covid-19 vaccine so far under the ongoing nationwide vaccination drive,” Ministry data said.
