New Delhi: India has expressed confidence that the dialogue process with Pakistan will move forward and hoped that all issues of mutual concern would be discussed. Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao told this to reporters in New Delhi on Thursday when asked about New Delhi’s expectation from the India- Pakistan Home Secretary-level talks next week.
The Cabinet Committee on Security, CCS has cleared the agenda of talks between Home Secretaries of India and Pakistan.
Sources said, the CCS, chaired by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, has given its nod to the issues like cross-border terrorism, progress in 26/11 trial and inflow of fake Indian currency notes to be raised at the two-day meeting.
Meanwhile, Pakistan has said its peace process with India should be uninterrupted as dialogue is the only way forward to resolve differences between the two sides.
