Ordos (China): Continuing its unbeaten streak in the Asian Champions Trophy, the Indian team managed to hold on to a 2-2 draw in their final group match against arch-rivals Pakistan today.
India came back strongly after being down by two goals to level the scores through Rupinderpal and Danish Mujtaba in the last twenty minutes of the match.
Pakistan’s Waqas Sharif made the first goal in the second half of the tensed match followed by Mohammad Irfan’s penalty corner.
The match was a virtual semi-final, and with this result, Pakistan have secured a berth in Sunday’s final.
Meanwhile, India could also sneak into the final, depending on how other results pan out.
