SRINAGAR, JUNE 09- Deputy Chief Minister, Dr Nirmal Singh today said that India is a secular state and that people from every community live in the country in an atmosphere of harmony and brotherhood.
Responding to the concern of the members, raised in the House today over the controversial statement of VHP leader, Sadhvi Prachi, published in a section of media, the Deputy Chief Minister said that if such statement has appeared in the press it was wrong and heart wrenching. “If the statement has come like this then it is wrong and heart wrenching,” Dr Singh said and added that the authenticity of the content was not verified yet. Dr Singh said that “India is a secular state and people from every community live here in communal harmony and brotherhood,” he said.
