Kolkata: In the ongoing Group-B encounter, taking place at the historic Eden Gardens in Kolkata, Netherlands have set a victory target of 307 runs for the Giant killers, Ireland. After losing the toss and given the bat, the Dutch endured a dismal start, as their top order bowed down to the opening salvo from the Irish seamers, who accounted the first three wickets with just 53 on the board. But it was Dutchman Ryan Ten Doeschate who, with an array of delicious strokes, amassed his second World Cup century, paving way for a competitive Dutch total. His innings featured applauded stands with Wesley Barresi and Skipper Peter Borren, the highlight of the show, as the Oranje made mockery of the Irish decision to bowl first. Ten Doeschate scored a mouth-watering 106 while Peter Borren chipped in with a handy 84.Ireland in their innings were 21 for no loss a short while ago.
