Australia have recorded their second consecutive win in the on-going ICC Cricket World Cup tournament. In a Group A match in Nagpur today, they beat New Zealand by a convincing margin of seven wickets. Set to score 207 runs for a win, the Aussies achieved target in 34 overs. Opener Shane Watson was the top scorer with 62. Earlier, put in to bat, the Kiwis were all out for 206 in 45.1 overs. Australian Mitchell Johnson who claimed four wickets was declared the Man of the Match.

Australia now top Group A with four points. With one win and a defeat so far, New Zealand have two points. In the Day-Night Group B encounter at Mirpur, co-hosts Bangaladesh were 181 for Eight in 45.3 overs, against Ireland when reports last came in. Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat.
