Hurriyat (M) discusses preparations for Hafta-e-Shahdat

Srinagar, May 14 (KMW): “An extra ordinary joint meeting of Executive council, General Counsel and working Committee was held at Hurriyat headquarters under the chairmanship of Mirwaiz Dr. Molvi Mohammad Umar Farooq,” a statement issued by Hurriyat (M) to KMW said. 

The statement added that the representatives of all the constituents of Hurriyat (M) participated in the meeting. The participants took stock of current political situation with special focus on finalizing the arrangements for making Hafta-i- Shohda (Martyrs Week) programmes a grand success.
In the meeting the participants discussed the means and methods to make the Hurriyat Programmes of the seminars on 18th May, at Hurriyat Headquarters, 22nd May, at Kralpora Kupwara in connection with the Hafta-i- Shohda (Martyrs Week) as well as the Eidgah March on 21st May a grand success in order to pay tributes to the martyrs of Kashmir.
Paying rich tributes to Shaheed-e-Millat Moulvi Mohammad Farooq, Shaheed-e-Hurriyat Khwaja Abdul Gani Lone, Martyrs of Hawal and all the martyrs of the movement. The participants retreated that they would continue with the struggle, for which lakhs of people sacrificed their life, till it reaches to its logical conclusion. They stated that the best solution of Kashmir issue was to resolve it in accordance with the wishes and aspirations of Kashmiris which would bring stability in South Asia, adding, Hurriyat Conference would continue to pursue its struggle on all levels till a just solution of Kashmir issue is found.
During the meeting the participants decided that Hurriyat leaders would take out rallies from Tehsil and District Headquarters on May 21 which would later converge at the Eidgah.
In connection with that, Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi will lead marchers from Badgam and Zadibal towards Edgah while as Moulana Abbas Ansari would take a rally from Pattan, Professor Abdul Gani Bhat, Mohammad Musadiq Adil and GN Zaki from Sopore, Bilal Gani Lone from Baramulla, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza from Islamabad, Javaid Ahmad Mir, Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam and Er. Hilal Ahmad War from civil lines area Srinagar, Zaffar Akbar Bhat from Chanapora, Hakim Abdul Rashid from Lal Bazaar, Syed Bashir Andrabi from pulwama, Chowdhry Shaheen Iqbal from Handwara, Syed Saleem Geelani from Saida Kadal, and Yasmeen Raja from Pampore. All the rallies will converge at Eidgah where APHC Chairman and other senior Hurriyat leaders would address the gathering and would present a resolution for approval before the people Meanwhile Hurriyat (M) has strongly condemned the continuous detention of resistance leaders and hundreds of youth of the valley and has demanded immediate release of all the persons detained by the authorities.
