Srinagar: August 15(KMW): The Indian State authorities today have put the People’s Political Party (PPP) Chairman and senior leader All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M), Engineer Hilal Ahmad War under house detention at War House Maisuma. “On Wednesday early in the morning around 5 a.m. Police officials informed the Mr. War about his house detention”, the spokesman said.
A party spokesperson condemned the house detention party Chairman and other resistance leaders in strongest possible words saying it tantamounts to State oppression and a denial of right to expression. “This highhandedness of the Indian State authorities shows the times we are living in. If one is not even allowed to register protest peacefully, it leaves a big void for violent demonstrations,” said the PPP Spokesman.
