Hurriyat (G) castigates Govt. for ‘imposing’ Curfew

Srinagar,(KMW News) : Strongly castigating administration for imposing curfew like situation and laying restriction on public movement in District Ganderbal and Bandipora , Syed Ali Geelani said that Kashmiri youth are being killed in a planned manner by Indian forces and added that we are not even allowed to mourn or express condolence with the affected families. Syed Ali Geelani expressed his concern and said that police in a bid to save forces personal, arrested the only eye witness of Markandal incident and he is being pressurized to change his statement. Syed Ali Geelani said that Omer Abdullah led administration is providing shield to those perpetrating immense atrocities and involved in human rights violations and added that by providing a petty amount as Ex gratia are trying to hush-up such grievous cases. While in his telephonic address to congregation organised to commemorate martyrs at Markandal and Kondabal,Syed Ali Geelani said that forces in order to save its skin are issuing misleading statement of the incident, and while supporting the demand put forward by Amnesty International, Syed Ali Geelani urged investigatation of gruesome incident by some reliable and impartial agency. While referring to the forces Syed Ali Geelani said that they have cooked a fabricated story, and added the facts are different and it has nothing to do with reality. It is their ploy and they want to create confusion about the incident. Syed Ali Geelani expressed his serious concern and said that Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh was arrested by police and is being pressurized to change his statement. Syed Ali Geelani expressed his dismay and added how justice can be expected when those involved in killing do investigate the case and while referring to thousands of similar incidents, Syed Ali Geelani said that we have seen hundreds of inquires in past and it is a routine for them to make tall claims with respect to investigations and latter the case file is hushed up and added neither accused is put on trial nor punished for the crime. Syed Ali Geelani termed the inquiry ordered into the twin killings in Sumbal as “deceptive tactics and added “Ex-gratia provided to affected families to cover up the involvement. Terming the Ex gratis just a kind of bribe and added that administration has fixed two lakh for precious lives, said Syed Ali Geelani. Syed Ali Geelani in his statement emphasized that India cannot compensate blood of our martyrs even if they invest their entire wealth in the Jammu and Kashmir. Lashing out at the state government, Syed Ali Geelani said that they are providing them shield and added that two unarmed innocents were killed and the local administration in a bid to cover up the truth imposed curfew and restrictions and added even the people were not allowed to mourn or wail for these innocents. Commenting over the restrictions imposed by administration, Syed Ali Geelani said that they adhere to these restrictions so that the version with respect to Jammu Kashmir is distorted and conception with regards to state prevail that everything is all right. Meanwhile a Hurriyat delegation comprising of Amir Hamza, Abdul Ahad Parah, Rayees Ahmed, Abdul Hameed Paray, Showkat Hakeem, and a top level delegation led by District President Salman Yousuf and Molvi Bashir Ahmed despite blockades ,hurdles , succeeded to visit village Markandal and Kondabal where they expressed sympathy and condolence with the families of martyrs and urged them to observe endurance and patience.
