Srinagar, June 18 (KMW): Hurriyat Conference (M) Chairman, Mirwaiz Molvi Dr Muhammad Umar Farooq today convened a joint meeting of Hurriyat Executive Council, General Council and Working committee members. According to statement issued to KMW, heads of all the constituents representing the conglomerate participated in the meeting. The participants took stock of the current political situation including organizational matters besides also having exhaustive deliberations upon the political developments taking part in the Indo-Pak region.
The participants also took a detailed view as to how to make Awami Action Committee (AAC) golden jubilee celebrations scheduled for June 20, 2014 at Municipal Park a grand success at all levels. The constituent members present in the meeting assured their full support in making the June 20, grand rally, a mega historical event. The meeting decided that Hurriyat leaders would lead the rallies from different areas of Kashmir and would pass through Jamia Masjid before finally converging at Municipal Srinagar.
In connection with that, senior Hurriyat leader, Agha Syed Hassan Al Moosvi would lead a rally from Budgam, Prof Abdul Gani Bhat and Musadiq Adil from Sopore, Bilal Gani lone from Baramulla, Moulana Abbas Ansari from Pattan, Mukhtar Ahmad Waza from Islamabad, Advocate Shahid-ul-Islam, Javaid Mir and Engineer, Hilal Ahmad War from different areas of Srinagar, Zaffar Akbar Bhat from Chanapora, Yasmeen Raja from Pampore, Syed basher Andrabi from Pulwama, Hakim Abdul Rashid from Lal Bazaar, while district and tehsil level leaders would lead the rallies from various places of Kashmir and would move towards Jamia Masjid and then to Municipal park Srinagar.
On the 50th foundation day of AAC to be celebrated at Municipal Park, the Hurriyat leaders would apprise the people about the current political situation, about the freedom struggle, about the role played by the Hurriyat regarding movement at local, international and diplomatic level. The leaders would also spell out the future strategy to be employed by APHC vis-Ã -vis freedom struggle. The AAC would also present a historical resolution before the people for their approval. (KMW)
