HM militant arrested: Police

Srinagar: Police on Monday said that it arrested a Hizbul Mujahideen militant “involved” in the killing of three civilians including the contractor Nazir Ahmad Lone at Kreeri in Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.A police officer Reyaz Ahmad said that police alongwith 45 BN CRPF and 29 RR arrested an active militant of HM outfit Hilal Ahmad Palla alias Umer son of Ghulam Ahmad Palla of Dangepora at Mamoosa Pattan. “One AK rifle, 02 AK magazines, 50 rounds of live AK ammunition, 02 Hand grenades, and 01Pouch was recovered from his possession,” he said.He said that Palla was involved in the killing of Ghulam Mohi ud din Dar of Batpora and Bashir Ahmad Tantray of Mamoosa, Pattan and more recently in killing of Nazir Ahmad Lone of Thindma, Kreeri.
