Srinagar, Nov 01: With the killing of newly appointed Hizbul Mujahideen Chief Dr. Saifullah, the last surviving militant of famous Commander Burhan Wani Photograph has been killed.

It is worth mentioning here that Hizb-ul-Mujahideen Chief Dr Saifullah was killed, while as 01 militant associate was arrested in a gunfight at Rangreth area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district today.

Inspector General of Police Kashmir Vijay Kumar told that Chief Commander of Hizb has been killed while as one militant associate has been apprehended alive in an encounter.

As a matter of point to note Dr. Saifullah took over as Hizb Chief after killing of Reyaz Naikoo this year in May.

This sensational Hibz militant commander Dr Saifullah was an ‘A category’ militant and had mostly been active in south Kashmir districts of Pulwama, Kulgam and Shopian.

Intrestingly, Saifullah Mir, known as Musaib and ‘Doctor Saif’ because he would treat militants injured in encounters, was a class 12th pass out from Malangpora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

Saifullah Mir alias Ghazi Haider, the 26-year-old had joined the militant ranks in 2014 and was currently the Hizbul Mujahideen’s operational Chief in Jammu and Kashmir.

As per top police officials Saifullah Mir opted for vocational training after school.

He completed bioscience course at the government-run ITI in Pulwama, Saifullah got a job at Srinagar’s National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology as a technician. He continued with the job for three years before Riyaz Naikoo finally had his way and motivated him to join militant outfit .

With his killing the most popular and old militant organization of Jammu and Kashmir Hizb-ul-Mujahideen has lost the most popular face and received a big jolt.
