Calls UNHCHR to take cognizance
Srinagar , 22 August : Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, Senior Leader , All Parties Hurriyat Conference ( M) and Chairman, People’s Political Party (PPP) and Javaid Ahmad Mir, Senior Leader, Hurriyat Conference (M) and Chairman, Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) condemned the target killing in strongest words of unarmed and innocent teenager , Irfan Fayaz Wani , a 19 year old young boy , of Fateh Kadal , Srinagar who was martyred by the Government forces yesterday through a target by a teargas shell directly aimed at his chest .
“It is the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958-AFSPA which gives special powers to the Indian army and other central forces operating in J & K. The men in uniform in Kashmir get a free license to kill any person, any point of time at their will and choice and to behave like outlaws and even beastsâ€, said War, Mir.
We, appeal, United Nations Commissioner for Human Rights (UNHCHR) to take cognizance of the deteriorated and grave situation of Human Rights in Kashmir in order to save the lives of the inhabitants therein which is obligatory for UN.
