SRINAGAR: An emergency meeting of the executive council of PPP (Peoples Political Party) was today held at Rajbagh headquarters. The meeting was presided over by Chairman Er. HIlal Ahmad War. In the meeting the chairman as well as the members of the executive council of PPP unanimously expressed strong displeasure over the continued imprisonment of Dr. Qasim Faktoo.
Calling the imprisonment of Dr. Qasim Faktoo as a grave violation of basic human rights, Chairman PPP, Er. Hilal War said that such obiter dicta clearly enunciate the anti-human designs of the Indian Government in J&K, especially with Kashmiri Muslims. He further said that such violations and exploitations were clearly and categorically against the ‘Universal Declaration on Human Rights’. He said such government acts will lead to strong resentment by the masses who are in no mood to tolerate these atrocities anymore.
Calling Israel as a superior partner of poisonous designs and hand-in-glove with India the executive council unanimously denounced the attack of Israel over Gaza (Palestine) and maintained that this was high time for the Ummah to Unite against all the enemies of Islam especially Israel as well as India and return them what they had given. They further assured of all viable help and resource to the people of Gaza.
Towards the end the council appealed to the entire nation (Kashmir) to observe a complete shut-down and strike on Monday 19th of November to press for the Indian government to repeal and revoke the sentence of Dr. Qasim Faktoo, as well as show of solidarity and respect with him over his continued barbaric and exploitative imprisonment and also a as a mark and show of protest over the attack on Gaza (Palestine) by the Zionists and homage to the recent martyrs over there.
