Srinagar,(KMW News): People’s Political Party (PPP) Chairman, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War has urged the people of Kashmir to observe a complete Kashmir Bandh on July 13.
In a meeting chaired by Engineer Hilal Ahmad War at PPP headquarters Rajbagh, Srinagar while finalizing the programme in connection with the July 13, 1931, martyrs, maintained that complete shutdown should be observed on this day and rich tributes must be paid to the martyrs of Kashmir who laid down their lives to banish the despotic and tyrant rule from their nation.
Paying rich tributes to those martyrs, Mr. War said, “I appeal the freedom loving masses of Kashmir from the entire length and breadth of the valley to observe a complete shutdown and pay tributes to the pious martyrs of 1931. Mr. War further said that the martyrs had offered the sacrifices for the Kashmir cause. But the then leadership had made an inhuman sell-out of the martyrs’ blood and had then given up their ideology in 1938.
Mr. War further lamented that the mainstream political parties held no moral right to observe the martyrs day on July 13 as they had already made a sell-out of the martyrs’ blood in lieu of power. “Observing July 13 as martyrs’ day by the mainstream parties particularly by those who have disbanded the Plebiscite Front is nothing but exploitation of the freedom loving people and desecration of the blood of martyrs”, said an emotional War.
PPP Chief, Mr. War calling such leaders as agents of New Delhi asked them to not shed crocodile tears for the Kashmir martyrs whose coffins they had soldout to New Delhi. He urged the common and freedom loving people to observe the day as due and pay their glowing tributes to the pious martyrs and keep the flame inkindled by them burning.
