Srinagar, October 25: Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Political Party (PPP) and Senior leader of All Parties Hurriyat Conference (M), Engineer Hilal Ahmad War, on Wednesday has asked both Atomic Powers of south- Asia (India and Pakistan) to initiate a time bound Composite dialogue to resolve all outstanding issues including the core issue of Jammu and Kashmir. Unresolved Kashmir Issue is a Nuclear Flash Point and is causing a constant potential threat to Nuclear War hovering over the entire subcontinent, in order to avoid any likelihood of nuclear confrontation which can engulf the entire world and disturb the International Peace and Security, a sustained and dialogue between India, Pakistan and Kashmir is imperative.
“History stands testimony to the fact that India and Pakistan fought almost 4 wars over Kashmir which consumed human lives, huge financial resources and finally both the countries came to the table of dialogue. Therefore, India and Pakistan should initiate a dialogue and take some concrete steps for translating dialogue into a solution”, said Mr. War.
Engineer Hilal said that by creating war situation, India cannot bypass or kill Kashmir Problem. They have but to concede the right of self-determination of the people of Kashmir sooner or later. They cannot escape from this issue. It is better and wiser to concede the right of self-determination as early as possible.
“Participation of Kashmiris as a principal party in any dialogue process is mandatory, for the resolution of most vexed issue which has assumed the shape of nuclear flash point. History stands testimony to the fact that bilateral talks and treaties till date have yielded no results,” said Engineer Hilal War.
“India should not forget that the entire population of Kashmir is on streets; their message is clear and loud that they want resolution of Kashmir Tangle once and for all. They have announced a peaceful ‘all out war’ in the shape of demonstration and rallies to determine their political future as enshrined in UN Charter”, said Engineer Hilal War.
