Srinagar: World Islamic Students League has expressed grave concern over the increasing consumption of ‘Alcohol” in the valley of Kashmir and has stated that younger generation is getting encircled in the anti-morality menace of Alcohol consumption. Jameel Ahmad War, Chairman World Islamic Students League has alleged that state government is encouraging the dealers and shopkeepers associated with liquor trade.
“The government is encouraging Alcohol trade with the intention to destroy the moral fabric of the society which will adversely impact the moral and Islamic values of youth in Kashmir. Wine is the mother of all sins and its sale in Kashmir should immediately be banned. The Valley of Kashmir has been the place of great Sufis and Saints and sale of impure things like Alcohol which is known as mother of all sins should be banned in Kashmir, “stated Jameel War.
Mr. War further added-“By encouraging Alcohol sale government is trying to harm the great mission propounded by the great sufis and saints of Kashmir and I hope every conscience mind would rise up against this menace especially, Ulemas, Civil society, scholars and religious leaders. We should also use the revered medium of mosques to carry a message against this evil”.
Mr. War said that youth of Kashmir are being dragged towards this menace under a conspiracy in order to make them living dead bodies so that the fourth generation of Kashmir Problem would be made unaware and unconscious about the Kashmir Conflict and its resolution. He appealed youth of Kashmir to stay away from this evil and get united to fight against the evil of liquor and fulfill their moral and religious duty. (KMW News)
