Srinagar, Mar 27 (KMW): The deputy chief minister Nirmal Singh Friday said the government is committed in bringing back the power projects from NHPC to state as mentioned in CMP between the PDP and BJP.

According to KMW correspondent, Dr Singh while talking to reporters outside the Legislative Assembly termed the uproar by the NC and Congress as an attempt to gain ‘cheap publicity’. He said that he has already held some talks with the Union power minister over the return of the power projects and that the state government would continue its efforts in bringing back Uri and Dulhasti from NHPC.
The deputy chief minister stated that the ruckus of the opposition parties is nothing but futile attempts to gain prominence. “People know the politics of such partiers better that anyone and are aware that such tactics would not make them dearer to the people of state,” he said.
He maintained that the government is committed in bringing back state’s power projects from NHPC and the state dispensation is working for the same. “My only question is that what the previous government could not do in six years, how could the present government do that it mere 20 days,” he added.
