Srinagar, Mar 18: The Huriyat Conference (M) chairman Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday said that the amalgam would discuss the latest political development in its important meeting scheduled to be held on Thursday.
When asked about the remarks made by the Governor NN Vohra over initiating dialogue with the Huriyat Conference, Mirwaiz said that the conglomerate will discuss the issue threadbare in his joint meeting wherein general, executive and working body shall discuss it thoroughly. “I can only tell you that we are meeting tomorrow and we will discuss all the latest political developments taking place in JK, India and Pakistan. We will make our decision public once we reach to any conclusion, till then, we cannot comment any further,” Mirwaiz Umar told news agency.
Pertinently, Governor said that (PDP-BJP) coalition will facilitate and help initiate a sustained and meaningful dialogue with all internal stakeholders, which will include all political groups irrespective of their ideological views and predilections. “It would be recalled that the erstwhile NDA government led by Atal Bihari Vajpayee, had initiated a dialogue process with all political groups including the Hurriyat Conference, in the spirit of ‘Insaaniyat, Kashmiriyat aur Jamhooriyat,” he said.
