Government employee shot dead in Srinagar

Srinagar, May 4, KMW: A government employee was shotdead by unidentifed gunmen in Srinagar on Monday.

A police official told News agency that Abdul Ahad Dar son of Abdul Gafar Dar a resident of Astan Mohalla Hazratbal received a bullet in his head when gunmen fired upon him at point blank range in Zakoora locality.
“Dar was shifted to SKIMS where he succumbed to his injuries,” the official said adding a manhunt has been launched to nab the assailants. The slain was a government employee in Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Hospital Rainawari Srinagar.
