Good Governance Week: Handloom Development Department organizes awareness camp in Kargil

Kargil, December 21: As part of Good Governance Week, Handloom Depart Kargil on the second day organized an awareness camp during which weaver and artisan cards were issued to local weavers and artisans in Kargil.

The camp aims to promote government schemes, provide necessary documentation to support the community, and create awareness about the benefits available under the handloom sector.

Officials from the Handloom Development Department were present at the event and interacted with the participants to address their queries and provide guidance regarding government policies and schemes aimed at supporting the handloom sector.

The department urged all eligible weavers and artisans in the region to take full advantage of such initiatives and emphasized its importance to promote the rich cultural heritage of Kargil through the development of handloom.
