Good Governance Week celebrations begin across Kargil district

Kargil, December 19: The Good Governance Week 2024, under the theme Prashasan Gaon Ki Ore (Taking Administration to Villages), commenced today across various regions in Kargil district.

This nationwide campaign aims to address public grievances and enhance service delivery. The celebrations included events at Tehsil headquarters and Panchayat Halqas throughout the district, designed to raise awareness about good governance practices, initiatives, and success stories.

Various departments conducted outreach activities focused on resolving public grievances and improving services in the district. On the first day, key activities were held in areas such as Zanskar, GM Pore, Sankoo, Tai Suru, ICDS Project Kargil etc.

This campaign, taking place in over 700 districts across the country from December 19 to December 24, 2024, will also feature different kinds of events on best practices in governance and strategies for improving service delivery.
