SRINAGAR, AUGUST 14: Government Medical College (GMC) Srinagar today organized a significant Anti-Ragging Oath ceremony in compliance with the National Medical Commission (NMC) directives and in observance of Anti-Ragging Day.
The ceremony was a crucial step towards reinforcing the institution’s commitment to creating a safe, supportive, and respectful environment for all students.
The ceremony was conducted in two sessions, demonstrating the institution’s dedication to preventing ragging and promoting a culture of mutual respect and understanding.
In the first session, held in the Committee Room, members of the Anti-Ragging Committee, faculty members, students, police representatives, and civil administration officials gathered to participate in the NMC’s Oath-Taking ceremony. Prof. (Dr.) Iffat Hassan , Principal/Dean, GMC Srinagar, led the proceedings, emphasizing the importance of collective responsibility in preventing ragging.
In the second session, held in the Auditorium, Prof. (Dr.) Iffat Hassan administered the Anti-Ragging Oath to faculty members, residents, and students.
The oath emphasized the importance of upholding individual dignity, preventing ragging, and fostering a culture of respect, empathy, and understanding. By taking the oath, the participants reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment on campus.
