“I pray to Allah for acceptance of my efforts and absolve shortcoming, and weakness and give me strength to stand by the pledge till last breath, said Geelani. “It is unfortunate and a tragedy that our leadership was always exempted from accountability and nobody dared to identify their mistake or ask about their way of functioning, however I wish that me and my organization should fear Almighty Allah and stand for accountability.”

Geelani said that his every move and step with respect to cause and aspirations of people should remain transparent, clear and fair.  He said that it is pertinent that his approach should be unambiguous and accountability should exist in society and encourage people to examine and ask about our conduct, policy and way of working.

“Tehreek e Hurriyat is not a mere political organization, but a religious origination too and has emerged as a symbol of resistance in the political scenario of Jammu and Kashmir,” said Geelani.

“We have clear stance and we do not believe to change our statements and stance regarding the Kashmiri issue,” Geelani apprised the meeting.  In a declaration he announced that

his residence, party head quarters and Milat Publication is no more personal property and since it is the trust which will look after it and it comprises a eight member registered body which is authorized to utilize its assets for the promotion of unity, freedom and propagation of Islamic ideology.

Geelani asserted in the meeting that India has turned its deaf ear to our aspirations and sacrifices and it is the stubborn and obstinate approach of India that has created hurdles for the Kashmir resolution. Geelani urged policymakers in Delhi and asked to learn lesson  from history  and asked  review their Kashmir policy.

The people of Kashmir are  not saleable commodity nor have they authorized any individual, party or forum to go for an agreement or accord any instrument divergent to their aspiration.

While commenting over the plunder of natural resources by India, Geelani said that there is enormous potential and we can produce    electricity through hydroelectric power generating units.

“We are in a position to generate income and if exported can become self-sufficient. We have mineral, horticulture and forests and if this plunder and swindling is stopped the state can become economically a next to Switzerland of Europe, Geelani.

In his appeal for election boycott for up-coming elections, Geelani said that India portrays this election as an consent of people and as alternate for self determination and referendum.
