GDC Kargil organizes awareness program on Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme

Kargil, June 02: Government Degree College (GDC) Kargil on Saturday organized a day-long awareness program on the Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme (PMSSS). The event saw the participation of 40 principals and nodal officers from various schools and colleges in Kargil, out of an invited 60 attendees.

The program began with a warm welcome by Murtaza Ali, Convenor of PMSSS at GDC Kargil, who greeted the esteemed guests with traditional khatak. Archo Fatima Nissa gracefully anchored the event, ensuring smooth proceedings throughout the day.

The welcome speech was delivered by MNM Shabani, Convenor IQAC setting a positive tone for the awareness program. This was followed by an informative presentation by Ganju, the PMSSS Nodal Officer from AICTE, who provided a comprehensive overview of the scholarship scheme.

The program concluded with a speech by Ajeet Angral, the Coordinator of PMSSS, who emphasized the importance of the scholarship scheme and encouraged more institutions to participate actively.

The event was a significant step towards enhancing awareness about PMSSS and ensuring that more students from Kargil benefit from the opportunities it offers.
