GDC Drass, Indian Army and MKDEI Launch Drass Warrior Defence Training Node, Conducted Entrance Exam

Drass, September 2: Government Degree College (GDC) Kargil in collaboration with the Indian Army and Major Kulthe Defence Education Institute launched the Drass Warrior Defence Training Node and conducted the entrance examination today for aspirants seeking coaching and mentoring for pre-commission training academy exams in the Armed Forces.

The training node was launched by Lt. Col. Bibanshu Dundiyal, Shaurya Chakra, and Major Saurabh Singh of 5/5 GR (FF), in the presence of the Principal GDC Drass Nasir Shabani, faculty members and student aspirants.

A total of 70 students appeared in the entrance examination coming from Government Higher Secondary School Bhimbet, Government Higher Secondary School Drass, and Government Degree College Drass.

This pioneering initiative will provide aspirants from Drass with structured preparation and mentoring by expert resource persons to prepare them qualify for pre-commission academy examinations, including NDA, CDS, and other SSC Defence exams.

Speaking on the occasion, Nasir Shabani, Principal GDC Kargil, reiterated the college’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities and platforms for the youth of Drass. He emphasized the institution’s vision of enabling students to excel in competitive examinations and career pathways at par with their peers across the country.

Addressing the gathering, Lt. Col. Bibanshu Dundiyal, Shaurya Chakra, assured the continued support of the Indian Army in empowering the youth of the region. He pledged all possible assistance to help students achieve their aspirations of joining the Armed Forces and serving the nation with pride.
