Gandhi Rejected Maharaja, Preferred Masses of Kashmir: Renzu Shah

Srinagar, 19 Nov (KMW): While addressing large gathering at chatterhama, Srinagar where world famous Gandhi Global Family had organized a mega free medical camp, Kh. Farooq Renzu Shah, S.P Verma Padam Shree awardee, President of Ghandi Global Family & other dignitaries were unanimous in pointing out the historical fact that Mahatma Ghandi ji when arrived to Srinagar before 1947, he rejected Maharaja’s autocratic rule and Raised his Voice for the protection of the Democratic rights of people of Jammu And Kashmir.Mahatma Gandhi mingled with general masses & supported them from the core of his heart. He saw the Ray of light from this area when entire sub continent was burning under frenzy of communal riots.

The speakers further said that it was not only Mahatma Gandhi who became victim of communal terror but decades after , one of the Iron lady of India late Smt. Indira Gandhi also became the victim of similar forces of hatred. She was real follower of Mahatmna gandhi they said. Today on her Birth Anniversary High tributes were paid to Indera Gandhi as well, who had Played a vital role in development of Jammu & Kashmir state.On this occasion Mr Showket Ashai, Abdul Ahad Najar,Javid Ahmad Tota, Mr Hilal Khan, Mr Tufail Bazaz were presented.Momentoes and Awards were presented to the dignities and respectbles of the area.

Kh. Renzu shah underscored the need for implementation of Food security bill in the J&K state so that the prices of Rice & Atta are automatically reduced to Rs3/- & Rs2/- respectively. He said, a typical kashmiri bread which was available to common man for 50 paisa has soared high to Rs5/- per piece, which has broken the back of majority of people who can’t afford such high prices. He said that this price reduction under the bill if applied in the state it will solve the multi level price rise problems. He also said that he shall work for creation of development authority of SONWAR area which comes within the range of Zabarwan & Harwan Range. He said the people living in the entire hill range may be equally included under backward category so that discrimination is avoided.

On the Occasion thousands of patients were attended by expert doctors.They were provided free medicines, spectacles and free tests were conducted on spot.Mr Renzu and Mr Verma appreciated the organizers, Doctors, Medical Staff and local people for successful Mega camp under the banner of Gandhii Global Family.
