Srinagar, Feb 24: Advocate Riyaz Ahmad Buchh, the husband of former Chief Engineer Power Development Department (PDD), Shahnaz Goni was allegedly murdered at his home in Greater Kailash area in Jammu on Monday.

According to relatives of Goni said that Advocate Riyaz who was doing private practice in Jammu court was allegedly killed by some unknown persons who have also decamped with some belongings including Advocate’s vehicle in Jammu.

They said that Goni is presently in USA to attend the marriage ceremony of her relative while his son is also in Goa, adding that the slain also has one daughter who lives at her husband’s house in Jammu district.

Relatives further told that Advocate’s daughter who yesterday met him at his home said ‘he was alright when she met him yesterday’.

However, they said that in this morning, some of the relatives visited him, but, nobody opened the door. “After managing to open the door, the relatives found Advocate Riyaz dead with several marks on his body, giving a presumption that he has been murdered,” relatives said.

They further said that the CCTV storage has also been destroyed while the belongings of the family including his car is also missing,” adding that a domestic helper who is from Bihar is also missing due to which he is becoming primary suspect for the relatives in the alleged murder case.

The relatives also informed that body has been taken for post-mortem while police said that investigation in the matter has been started.

The relatives, however, demanded a Special Investigation Team (SIT) should be constituted in this regard
