Forces launch nocturnal CASO in Sopore village

Sopore, Jun 04(KMW) : Forces on Monday midnight launched a cordon-and-search operation at Hathlangoo area of Sopore in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

Reports said that a joint team of army’s 22 RR, and special operation group of police (SOG) laid a siege at Hathlangoo village of Sopore on Monday midnight.

Local reports said, forces have installed the lights in the area and conducted door to door search operation.

A senior Police official also confirmed the incident to Kashmir Despatch and said that the cordon was launched following inputs about the movement of some suspected militants.

Pertinently, last month a local militant was killed in this Hathlangoo village.
