Srinagar: Asking Omar Abdullah to stop shedding crocodile tears and resign in the interest of people, Chairman Hurriyat Conference (G), Syed Ali Shah Geelani Friday said that Omar can’t be well wisher of Kashmiri people as it is he who directs men in uniform to let loose a reign of terror.

Geelani in a telephonic address in Old Town Barmullah, where thousands of people jointly offered Friday prayers said that Omar Abdullah is sailing in two boats which signifies that he want to rule the state on cost of human lives. “Don’t you think we should laugh the way Omar Abdullah broke down in Assembly? On the one hand he sheds crocodile tears while on the other hand he orders men in uniform to suppress the sentiments of people,” Geelani said.
He said that if Omar Abdullah is really concerned about the people of Kashmir then he should resign. “We all know he will not resign because Chair and power is everything for him. The reality is that he cares a fig for the people. He is duel and anti-Kashmir,” Geelani said.
While condemning the alleged excesses committed by men in uniform Geelani appealed people to follow the programme of Majlis Muthida Mashawart (MMM) in letter and spirit till the body of Afzal Guroo is not returned back to Kashmiri people.
