Tehran: Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said on Sunday solidarity and resistances are two elements which guarantee peace and stability in Lebanon.

He made the remarks in a meeting with Lebanese Defense Minister Fayez Ghosn in Tehran.
Pointing to Iran’s principled policy to reinforce peace and stability in Lebanon, Salehi underlined the need for expansion of Tehran-Beirut cooperation in all fields of mutual interest especially in the defense domain.
Referring to growing cooperation between the two countries on regional and international issues, he also cautioned against enemies’ conspiracies to divide regional nations and create political and religious rifts among them.
Salehi expressed astonishment at the hasty reaction of foreigners and certain regional countries toward Syrian developments while closing their eyes on the legitimate demands of people in other regional countries.
Salehi said the most important chalenges facing the Islamic world and Palestinians are their failure to forge solidarity and unity in the face of the Zionist regime’s mounting threats. (KMW NEWS)
