Leh, Sept 06: The Senior Girls Football Team of Ladakh was officially flagged off today to represent the Union Territory of Ladakh in the 30th Senior National Women’s Football Championship (Rajmata Jijabai Trophy) 2025–26, scheduled to be held in Amritsar, Punjab.
The ceremony was graced by Ms. Bhanu Prabha, IAS, Secretary, Youth Services & Sports, UT Ladakh; Ms. Sumera Shafi, JKAS, Under Secretary, Sports; and Ms. Tsering Angmo, General Secretary, Ladakh Football Association.
The team will compete under the leadership of Head Coach Mr. Stanzin Gilik, Assistant Coach Mr. Rohan Darjee, and Team Manager Ms. Sadhana Rai.
The UT administration and sports fraternity extended their best wishes to the players as they carry Ladakh’s spirit and determination into the national stage.
