Kolkata, May 5 Giving a clarion call to fight one-to-one to defeat the BJP, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Friday exhorted all the Opposition parties to unite against the saffron brigade.
Categorically stating that she has no issue in fighting together, Banerjee said, ” Ahead of the elections, I would urge all the Opposition parties to unite against BJP. We have to fight one-to-one to defeat the BJP. Fight from the areas where you [Opposition Parties] have a stronghold. I don’t have an issue in fighting together. “
” BJP has two prime jobs — ‘Thok Do’ and ‘Dhamaka Kardo’. When they want to finish someone, they say ‘Thok Do’. We have seen BJP’s stance in NRC and Bilkis Bano case.
We have also seen many communal problems orchestrated by BJP, ” she commented.” When BJP sends central agencies like ED and CBI, they say ‘Dhamaka Kardo’. Whenofficers say that the person is not guilty and there cannot be any case against him, BJP
leaders ask the officials to make fake cases and malign them, ” the Chief Minister alleged.Iterating that the BJP should not defame the country like this, Banerjee said, ” They shouldknow that using agencies will not bear fruits as it would not garner votes for them. “
Asking who is called the leader of the nation? she said, ” Someone who is patriotic and acceptsand loves one and all. A true leader is someone who unites people and respects all religions. The one who gets the certificate of the people, only that person will be called a true leader. The one who gets rejected will always remain rejected. “
