Executive Councillor, Syed Mujtaba grace 20th Instalment of PM-KISAN Samman Nidhi Yojana in Kargil

Kargil, August 02: As part of the ongoing efforts to support and empower farmers across the country, the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India today released the 20th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) Yojana through a national webcast at 11:00 AM.

In connection with this significant occasion, the Department of Agriculture, Kargil organized a special programme at the Farmers Conference Hall, Khurbathang. The event was graced by the Hon’ble Executive Councillor Agah Syed Mujtaba Mussavi for Agriculture, LAHDC Kargil, who highlighted the importance of this landmark initiative in strengthening the rural economy and improving farmers’ livelihoods in Ladakh.

Speaking at the event, the Hon’ble Executive Councillor applauded the Government of India for its continued commitment to the welfare of the farming community and emphasized the critical role of such schemes in supporting marginal and small-scale farmers in remote regions like Kargil.

Chief Agriculture Officer Kargil, Mr. Ashiq Hussain, was also present on the occasion and briefed attendees about the implementation status of the PM-KISAN scheme in the district. He reaffirmed the department’s commitment to ensuring the timely disbursement of funds and spreading awareness about the benefits of the scheme among eligible farmers.

A large number of farmers, agricultural officials, and stakeholders attended the programme and virtually witnessed the Prime Minister’s address. The event concluded with a vote of thanks and an interactive session between officials and farmers to discuss ongoing and upcoming agricultural initiatives in the region.
