Srinagar: July 15: Jammu and Kashmir People’s Political Party (PPP), Chairman and All Parties Hurriyat Conference Senior leader, Engineer Hilal Ahmad War condemned in strong words the brutal killing of 41 Kashmiris from July 9 till date by the paramilitary, military and police forces in the disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He also condemned in strongest possible words the use of Pellet guns (which is a lethal weapon) through which almost 60 teenagers have reportedly lost their eye sight and more than 1000 have sustained serious injuries. He further made an appeal to International community to pressurize Government of India to ban pellet gun use in Kashmir which is also in violation of universal declaration of Human Rights and a denial of ‘Right to Life’.
Engineer Hilal appeals U.N. Chief, Mr. Ban Ki Moon to intervene in Kashmir because the present situation is very volatile and deteriorated which is imminent threat to global peace. Mr. War said that UN is the custodian of International Peace, Security and Right to Self –determination of the peoples of the globe , therefore it obligatory for UN to play its active role in occupied Jammu and Kashmir . He said the Government of India has unleashed the reign of terror in Kashmir ever since the creation of Kashmir Dispute in 1947 in general and since 1990 in particular to suppress the voice of Kashmiris at gun point. Since Unresolved Kashmir is the threat to International Peace and security, it is obligatory for United Nations Organization to intervene in Kashmir for maintaining the global peace.
