Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme held at GDC Drass

Kargil, September 02: The Enterprising Ladakh initiative successfully conducted a three-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Programme (EAP) at Government Degree College, Drass. The programme aimed to inspire and equip students with entrepreneurial skills, creative thinking, and knowledge of emerging opportunities in Ladakh.

Day 1: The sessions began with an engaging workshop by Ms. Padma Lhazes, Project Officer, Enterprising Ladakh, who introduced students to design thinking, creativity, out-of-the-box problem solving, and value addition as essential tools for entrepreneurship.

Day 2: The second day featured interactive talks from key resource persons. Mr. Shabir Hussain Fayaz, Deputy Director, Tropicalist Trust and CEO, Kargil Agro Solution & Logistics, UT Ladakh, shared his entrepreneurial journey and insights into agri-business opportunities. Dr. Zahoor Ahmed delivered a session on innovation and creativity. Ms. Padma Lhazes returned with a session on marketing and branding, highlighting strategies for building successful ventures.

Day 3: The final day included an Idea Workshop by Dr. Zahoor Ahmed, followed by a session by Ms. Haseena and her team from LRLM Ladakh Rural Livelihood Mission, who shared details about SHGs and government schemes for livelihood enhancement. The students also participated in a business pitch competition, where they presented their innovative ideas.

The programme concluded with a valedictory ceremony, where participants were felicitated with khataks by the Nodal Officer, Skill Training, and Assistant Principal, GDC Drass, along with Mr. Rizwan, Nodal Officer, Enterprising Ladakh.
