Enterprising Ladakh organizes 3 Days Entrepreneurship Awareness Program at ITI Kargil

Kargil, July 14: As part of a focused initiative to foster self-reliance and entrepreneurial thinking among the youth of Ladakh, Enterprising Ladakh Centre, the flagship program of the Department of Higher Education, UT Ladakh kicked off a three-day Entrepreneurship Awareness Program (EAP) at ITI Kargil on Monday.

The program is a step towards empowering the region’s youth and women through innovation, skill development, and enterprise creation. It is being implemented by the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahmedabad, with a vision to build a dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystem aligned with Ladakh’s unique socio-economic context.

During the three-day program, participants are being introduced to the core principles of entrepreneurship, including ideation, business planning, and financial literacy. Sessions are led by experienced mentors, successful local entrepreneurs, and subject matter experts, offering participants valuable insights and motivation to pursue entrepreneurial ventures.

Resource persons for the first day were Mr. Abhishake Nandan, Ms. Fariha Fatima and Ms. Padma Lhazes from EDII Ahmedabad. Others present on the occasion were, Instructors, ITI Kargil, Shahar Banoo and Zahra Batool. 

The program has witnessed enthusiastic participation from over 100 students, marking a strong interest in entrepreneurship as a viable and empowering career path among Ladakh’s youth.
