SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 19 (KMW): The District Development Commissioner, Srinagar, Dr. Farooq Ahmad Lone chaired a meeting of officers to review the preparation of Aadhar Cards in the district here today.
According to a statement issued to KMW, The meeting was attended by the Joint Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation, Joint Director Planning, Assistant Commissioner Nazool, other concerned officers and representatives of various agencies associated with the preparation of Aadhar Cards.
Dr. Lone urged the officers to start the process of preparing Aadhar Cards fromMarch 01, 2015. He was informed that in this regard 2670 Enumerators are being provided necessary training fromFebruary 21 to February 25, 2015 for which arrangements have already been put in place.
He asked the Aadhar Card vendors to complete the process of preparing Aadhar Cards by June 30, 2015.
Later, the Deputy Commissioner along with Joint Commissioner Srinagar Municipal Corporation toured Samandar Bagh, Raj Bagh, Poloview, Lal Mandi areas to review the ongoing process of dewatering in these areas. He directed the concerned officers to install dewatering pumps in all water logged areas immediately and warned them that any laxity on this count would be stringently dealt with.
Meanwhile the Deputy Commissioner chaired a separate meeting of senior officers of CA&PD, Banks and representatives of Oil Companies and called for launching a sustained campaign to create awareness among the consumers regarding Direct Benefit Transfer of LPG (DBTL) in Srinagar district.
He maintained that the Oil Companies and dealers providing LPG in Srinagar district should be fully involved in this effort. He said the use of electronic and print media besides SMS facilities would go a long way to aware people about various contours of DPTL.
Deputy Director, CA&PD (Supplies) Kashmir informed that so for 54% DBTL target has been achieved in Srinagar district and efforts are on to achieve cent percent target by March 31, 2015.
