The 87 year old veteran leader passed away on Friday. Prime Minister Jhala Nath Khanal paid homage to the departed leader by draping the national flag as the body was placed at Dashrath stadium for the public to pay their last respect. Nepal government has announced a three-day state mourning with a public holiday today to mourn the death. Official spokesperson said, the national flag will fly half-mast at all government offices across the country and Nepali diplomatic missions abroad for three days from today.
