Encounters ensue at two places in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Nov 14 : Encounters ensued between militants and security forces at two places in south Kashmir early Tuesday morning, official sources said.

Acting on a specific information about the presence of militants, Rashtriya Rifles (RR), Special Operation Group (SOG) of Jammu and Kashmir police and CRPF launched a joint search operation at Naubugh in Qazigund in Kulgam district of south valley.
However, when the security forces were moving towards a particular area, the militants opened fire, they said.

Security forces also retaliated, ensuing an encounter, sources told News Agency, adding that all exit points were sealed.
