Encounter starts in Doda forests

Doda, May 17 : A gunfight broke out  between government forces and militants in forests of Doda district on Sunday morning.

An official told that on specific inputs about  presence of militants, a search operation was launched by forces including 10 RR, CRPF and Doda police on Saturday night.

“Contact with militants with established this morning when  forces zeroed in the area where militants were hiding, “he said .

Two to three militants are believed to be trapped and operation was under way when this report was filled
