Encounter starts at Rathsuna Tral, Pulwama; 2 militants believed trapped

Srinagar, Feb 27: A fierce gunfight erupted between militants and security forces at Tral in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district late this evening, official said.
They said that following the specific information about the presence the joint team of army’s 42 RR and SOG launched cordon at Moominabad in Ratsuna village.
As such the joint team of forces intensified the searches the militants opened heavy fire upon them, the forces retaliated the fire ensuing an encounter.
Two militants are believed to be trapped in the area, they said.
Meanwhile operation was halted for night. (News agency)
