Elated on JK Govt decision on timber to Houseboats, Shikars : Yaqub Dunoo

Stating that the Houseboat will be back in its pristine Glory, Muhammad Yakub Dunoo, Spokesperson, Kashmir Houseboat Owners Association has expressed great gratitude and appreciation to lieutenant Governor, J & K, Monaj Sinha , Rajeev Rai Bhatnagar , Advisor to LG, Jenab Sarmad Hafeez Sahab, Secretary Tourism, Jenab G. N Itoo Sahab , Director Tourism, Jenab Waseem Raja Sahab, Additional Secretary Tourism and other officers of Department of Tourism Jammu and Kashmir on the decision of providing timber at affordable costs to Houseboats and Shikaras .
Yaqub Dunoo stated that it is historical decision
He observed that onceThe decision will provide timber for minor/periodical repairs and maintenance/upkeep of registered houseboats on 50% concessional rate upto a maximum of 70% requirement or 30 Cft, whichever is less, through the Forest Department. The timber will be provided to the beneficiaries once in 06 years.

Similarly, for reconstruction and major repairs of houseboats, the timber will be provided on one-time basis, on 50% concessional rate upto a maximum of 70% of the requirement or 80 CFT, whichever is less.
