Educational Tour to Jambu Zoo Organized by PM Shri Government Girls Middle School, Jindrah

Jammu, December 24: In a bid to offer practical exposure to wildlife and nature conservation, the PM Shri Government Girls Middle School, Jindrah, organized an educational tour to Jambu Zoo. This initiative, supported under the PM Shri Scheme, aimed at broadening the students’ understanding of biodiversity and fostering a sense of environmental responsibility.

The day began with a group of enthusiastic students, accompanied by their teachers and staff, embarking on an exciting journey to Jambu Zoo. The objective of the trip was to provide the students with hands-on learning about wildlife, various species, and their habitats, enhancing their appreciation for the natural world.

Upon reaching the zoo, the students were given an introductory session about the layout and facilities of the zoo. They explored different sections that showcased diverse species, including mammals, reptiles, and birds. The students were particularly fascinated by animals. They learned about the habitats of these species, their diets, and the conservation efforts being made to protect them from threats like habitat loss, poaching, and climate change.

The students were encouraged to engage actively with the exhibits and participate in discussions with the zoo staff, who provided valuable insights into the ecological significance of each species. The tour also emphasized the role of conservation in safeguarding endangered species and preserving biodiversity for future generations.

The visit concluded with a feedback session where students shared their thoughts on the experience. Many expressed their excitement about the animals they saw and their newfound understanding of the importance of protecting nature. They pledged to adopt more eco-friendly practices in their daily lives and promote wildlife conservation in their communities.

The educational tour was coordinated by a team of teachers and staff members, including Sanjay Sharma, Lakshmi Devi, Bindya Rani, Babita Kumari, Sadaket Ali, Nisha, and Sandhaya. The school administration also expressed gratitude to the PM Shri Scheme for supporting such initiatives that enrich students’ education and help shape environmentally conscious citizens.

This educational tour not only enhanced students’ knowledge about wildlife but also instilled a deeper sense of responsibility towards nature, promoting a culture of environmental stewardship among young minds.
