Kargil, Feb 20: Executive Councilor for RDD/PR, Forest, FCS&CA, Cooperative, ZDA, Er Punchok Tashi, has expressed heartfelt condolences on behalf of the people of Zanskar to the family members and team of 13 BRTF Project YOJAK (BRO) on the recent tragic loss of a dedicated machine operator and labour while on duty in Cha and Neraq sector of the Nimmu-Padum-Darcha (NPD) road on February 14.

While conveying heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, he emphasized that their loved one’s service to the nation is deeply appreciated and honored.

Tashi stated that the loss of a dedicated team member in the line of duty is a solemn reminder of the sacrifices made by those who work tirelessly to connect the country’s most remote regions.

“I hope you and your entire team find strength and solace during this difficult time, knowing that the operator’s contribution to the nation will always be remembered and honoured,” he said.

EC Tashi acknowledged that the work undertaken by the BRO is not only challenging but also involves significant risks. He emphasized that the dedication, bravery, and selflessness demonstrated by its personnel, especially in such adverse conditions, are commendable.
