EC Kacho Feroz Unfurls Tricolour at Council Secretariat on 77th Republic Day

Kargil, January 26, 2026: Executive Councillor, LAHDC Kargil, Kacho Mohd Feroz unfurled the National Tricolour on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day at the Council Secretariat, Kargil. The event was attended by council staff, officers from the police department, and other officials.

Speaking on the occasion, EC Kacho Mohd Feroz paid rich tributes to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar for his remarkable contribution in drafting the Constitution of India. He said that the Constitution guarantees equal rights and freedoms to every citizen, without any discrimination on the basis of colour, caste, or other social identity markers. He described the Indian Constitution as a unique and comprehensive document that safeguards the rights of every individual.

He further said that the Constitution empowers citizens with the right to vote and elect their representatives, who in turn frame policies for the welfare and development of the people. Reiterating the commitment of LAHDC Kargil, he assured that the Council is dedicated to providing all necessary facilities across sectors, including health, education, roads, and other key developmental areas.

EC Kacho Mohd Feroz highlighted the significant role played by district officers in the overall development of Kargil, noting that their contributions often go unnoticed despite their importance. He expressed gratitude to the Deputy Commissioner Kargil, SSP Kargil, and the Indian Army jawans for safeguarding the borders and ensuring peace and security in the region.

He concluded by assuring that LAHDC Kargil remains committed to the holistic development of the district and will continue to work tirelessly to achieve maximum progress and prosperity for the people of Kargil.
