Earthquake rocks parts of Himachal

Shimla, Nov 6 (KMW): Earth quake measuring 4.9 on ritcher scale rocked north western India including, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Himachal and Uttarakhand this evening, Meteorological office said here.

Shimla Met Office Director Manmohan Singh told UNI over phone that earthquake was felt in Himachal Pradesh along with areas adjoining Punjab like Una, Hamirpur and Bilaspur at 2023 hrs.

He said earthquake lasted for three to four seconds was measured at about 4.9 on Richter scale.
