DSEK announces mid-term exam from June

SRINAGAR, MAY 19: The School Education Department today announces Mid-Term exam for all classes from 5th to 12th from mid June.

However for 10th and 12th classes, Golden Test shall be held as mandatory examination, contrary to the past practice where it was optional.

An order issued from DSEK in this regard states that the dates notified for Mid-Term Examination will be followed strictly and under no circumstances any change will be allowed. It has been further notified that the annual exam is likely to be held in September 2017.

The institutions will have to certify that 100% syllabus has been covered, even if additional classes have to be organized, officials told Sachnews Jammu Kashmir .

Furthermore, it has also been ordered that only those candidates will be allowed to sit in the exam who have obtained more than 90% attendance, which can be calculated from the number of classes attended w.e.f 15-05-2017,till the notification issued for the examination.

The Director School Education Kashmir further instructed the teachers and students to focus on their assignments for the timely completion of syllabus.
