Srinagar, 24 April: Dr Burhan Bazaz in his statement prayed, “May the divine blessings shower upon us all during the holy month of Ramadan and may this auspicious month bring harbinger of good health and prosperity to whole mankind. This year Muslims are facing the Ramadan first of such kind amid pandemic which they have never faced before.” Dr Burhan while urging entire Ummah especially Muslims of Jammu and Kashmir to take care of destitutes and downtrodden and do not miss the opportunity to get their prayers and blessings.As Charity is the strong tool to anticipate any calamity and people should be generous in terms of charity. He has hailed the UT administration and different NGO’s regarding ensuring basic amenities to the people of the Valley. He further said. “It is necessary to follow the instructions passed by the administration time to time. He has suggested government to gear up department like social welfare and Muslim Waqf Board to support orphans,widows and those in distress as a part of an obligation and mark of unity.The Religious heads and stake holders of mohalla committee’s should ensure that no gathering of people take place at any cost besides everyone should follow the health advisories. We are going through a grave crisis, prevention is the only remedy as of now.
