DPS school srinagar asked for implementation of verdict on Ayaan Zaffar by DC Srinagar

Srinagar, May 09: An pivotal Development concerning injustice by a reputed school, the Deputy Commissioner Srinagar has few days back issued order to the Delhi Public School Srinagar to implement Court of Chief Commissioner person with Disabilities New Delhi verdict given in favour of the visually impaired Ayaan Zaffar , 24th August 2020 , Child who met accident on 19 june 2019 during school hours with school bus and suffered catastrophic injury due to teacher negligence.

It has been made categorically clear to the Delhi Public School to implement the verdict of Court of Chief Commissioner of Persons with Disabilities with 15 days.

Pertinent to mention that last year CCPD new delhi passed judgement in favour of Ayaan but DPS school srinagar didnt show any responsibility towards this order and child is still bedridden before accident

Ayaan was only visual impairment and after accident he developed locomotor disability .

The well known Child Rights Activist
Dr Chintanjeet Kour , and Zaheer Jan approached Human rights commission and National child rights commission new delhi regarding this matter. NCPCR new delhi and Chairman Human Rights commission has send letter to DC srinagar and SSP police to enquiry in this matter. As a professional this is our responsibility and duty to help special need child and provide them their rights said Zaheer Jan .

In December 2020 DC srinagar has made a committee ACR srinagar, Tehsildar south and Tehsildar recovery to visit Dps school and enquiry regarding this case.

As per order of DC srinagar team of 2 Doctors with medical assistant and some some Officials from DC office and Dps vice principal and one teacher visited Ayaan home and doctors submitted reports where they mentioned Child is full dependent on all ADLs and have sensory loss in his lower limb and child need medical expenses.

Dr Chinatnjeet kour and Zaheer Jan Child and Disability Rights Activist have played a prominent role in getting justice for the young child who suffered due to negligence of the school . As per RPWD Act 2016 child deserve his rights and school should come forward and provide all assistance in his Rehabilitation said Dr Chinatnjeet kour

Masses and voices of sanity are urging on the Delhi Public School to shun the arrogance approach and adopt the legal order in favour of Child as soon as possible so that child get better Rehabilitation.
